Marple Medical Associates is an independent cardiovascular group practice located in Broomall, Pennsylvania. Our cardiologists, cardiovascular physician assistants, medical assistants, and dedicated staff have been providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients in Delaware County and the Main Line for over 40 years. The Marple cardiology team has a long standing committment to provide our patients and referring colleagues with the highest quality, most convenient cardiovascular care in the region.
We see outpatients at our Lawrence Park office location in Broomall, PA. Our cardiac and vascular imaging center is fully accredited and offers the convenience of a small practice environment combined with state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging.
We are proud of our affiliations with Main Line Health and the Crozer-Keystone Health System. Our cardiologists are active members of The Lankenau Heart Institute and The Physician’s Integrated Network. All of our cardiologists and cardiovascular physician assistants are on the active medical staffs of Bryn Mawr Hospital, Lankenau Medical Center, and Delaware County Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Julian Gladstone is from Newark, New Jersey, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at Williams College in Massachusetts where he became a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, he completed a medical residency and a cardiology fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Gladstone is the President of Marple Medical Associates and has been named a Top Doc by Main Line Today on numerous occasions. He has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of complex cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Richard Lichtenberg is a graduate of George Washington University where he was awarded special honors in mathematics. He attended Boston University School of Medicine and completed his postgraduate training and fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Hahnemann University. Dr. Lichtenberg has a general cardiology practice with a focus on chronic ischemic heart disease and cardiac hemodynamics. He has been named a Top Doc in Cardiology by Main Line Today and has extensive training and expertise in nuclear cardiology, cardiac PET, and cardiac CT angiography.
Dr. Mark Lisberger is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University Hospital of Jacksonville, Florida and his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Lisberger has a general cardiology practice with a focus on patient-centered care and cardiac rehabilitation. He has been named a Top Doc in Cardiology by Philadelphia Magazine and Main Line Today on numerous occasions and has special expertise in consultative cardiology and echocardiography.
Dr. Mark Edelstein was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He attended college at Rutgers University and subsequently attended medical school at the University of Maryland. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Christiana Hospital and his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Cooper University Hospital. Dr. Edelstein has a general cardiology practice with special expertise in the noninvasive evaluation and management of peripheral vascular disease. He has been named a Top Doc in Cardiology by Main Line Today on numerous occasions.
Dr. Antonis Pratsos was born and raised in Cyprus with a background of bilingual education in Greek and English. He completed his medical school at the University of Manchester in the UK and subsequently his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Albany, New York Medical Center. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Pratsos has extensive experience in the catheter based treatment of complex coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, and structural heart disease. He has been named a Top Doc in Interventional Cardiology by Maine Line Today and remains active in clinical research which has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Matthew Hillis was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, cum laude, at Harvard University. He received his medical degree at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and then fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Hillis has a diverse cardiovascular practice with a focus on heart rhythm disorders and chronic venous disease. He has been named a Top Doc in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology by Main Line Today, and has expertise in catheter ablation, pacemaker and ICD implantation, and the endovascular treatment of chronic venous insufficiency.
Dr. Michael Tobin grew up in Maplewood, NJ. He attended Rutgers University, where he graduated with High Honors, and worked briefly as a research scientist before attending medical school at New Jersey Medical School. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident, and remained at Jefferson for his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Vascular Ultrasound. He still maintains his commitment to medical education as an invited lecturer at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Tobin has a patient-focused general cardiology practice, with special interests and expertise in cardiovascular imaging and critical care cardiology.
Stephanie Shull is a graduate of the Master in Physician Assistant Studies program at Philadelphia University and has been with Marple Medical Associates since 2009. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science at Gettysburg College, where she was on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Clinically she enjoys general cardiology and providing education to patients and their families. She also enjoys working with patients who have pacemakers and ICDs in the Marple Medical Device Clinic.
Sherry Ly received her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences at Drexel University. She obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at DeSales University and during that time, completed a clinical rotation with the Cardiology fellowship program at the Lehigh Valley Health Network. She believes that getting to know her patients and helping them understand their diagnoses are vital to providing good care.
Emily Menges completed her undergraduate course work in Human Development and Family Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. She then attended Philadelphia University to obtain her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and NCCPA certification. She has specialized in cardiology since 2007 and has a special clinical interest in congestive heart failure management and general cardiology.
